Our 24" ring buoy is approved by the USCG and is classified as a PFD type 4. Our buoy features solid closed cell foam throughout. It is soft and resilient to the touch. It resists weather and temperature extremes and most importantly will not rot and mildew. USCG approval #160.050/147/0.
