The double-head Harvey DLX stethoscope By Welch Allyn  is specifically designed to accentuate important sounds and enable you to hear cardiac, pulmonary, and vascular sounds without relying on difficult "variable pressure" techniques. The Harvey DLX is equipped with dual-bore tubing that creates two uninterrupted sound channels and works with the optimally weighted brass chestpieces to transmit a full range of physical sounds. The combination chest piece has two heads that can be rotated to select from either a diaphragm or a bell. The diaphragm is used to listen to high frequency sounds, while the bell side is used to hear lower frequencies. Providing clear, crisp sound, the Harvey DLX helps enhance your auscultation capabilities.

Great sound quality

After trying quite a few stethoscopes, I found this had the best sound quality, especially on scenes with extreme noise (sirens, cars, yelling). Definitely lives up to its brand name. If there's one thing you want to scrimp on, it's not a stethoscope, and the Harvey DLX is worth every penny!

My right hand

As a stethoscope is my nummber one instrument in the field, I was willing to splurge a little bit for a good one. The Harvey DLX outdoes my old one by a long shot. The dual head provides great sound quality, making the whole assessment process quicker, keeping everybody happier. A bit pricey, but worth it.

Harvey DLX Stethoscope Review

I highly recomment this stethoscope as an instrument that I use multiple times every day. The dual head provides, clear, crisp sound for cardiac, pulmonary,and vascular sounds. It even works well on hard-to-hear pediatrics. The 28" cord also allows more mobility.
